Luperox® 10 polymer initiator
Luperox® 10 polymer initiator is a standard t-butyl peroxyneodecanoate for use in a variety of polymer synthesis applications. The product is available as a pure liquid, 75% dilution in organic solvent, and also as an emulsion in water.
Luperox® 101 for Polypropylene
Luperox® 101 polymer initiator is useful in viscosity modification of polypropylene. In addition to the neat liquid, dilutions in white mineral oil or on a solid polypropylene polymer carrier are available.
Luperox® 101PP20, 101PP10 and 101PP7.5 viscosity modifier by Arkema
Luperox® 101PP20, 101PP10 and 101PP7.5 viscosity modifier is a 20%, 10%, or 7.5% active weight dispersion of Luperox® 101 polymer initiator on a polypropylene powder carrier. Luperox® 101PP20, 101PP10 and 101PP7.5 offers easy mixing in twin or single screw compounding for mixed or single streams of polyolefins, and recycled material.
Luperox® 101XL45 crosslinking peroxide
Luperox® 101XL45 crosslinking peroxide is a 45% active dispersion of Luperox® 101 polymer initiator on a calcium carbonate filler. Luperox® 101XL45 is useful for the curing of silicone rubbers, fluoroelastomers, and engineered rubber compounds under standard conditions above 170°C.
Luperox® 11M75 polymer initiator
Luperox® 11M75 polymer initiator is a 75% active weight solution of t-butyl peroxypivalate, useful in the polymerization of ethylene to make LDPE or for synthesis of fluoropolymers.
Luperox® 188M75 polymer initiator
Luperox® 188M75 polymer initiator is an organic peroxide used to improve throughput in emulsion PVC reactors. In combination with other initiators such as Luperox® 223S or 223M75S polymer initiator, using Luperox® 188M75 polymer initiator will improve productivity per hour of reactor time.
Luperox® 219M75 polymer initiator
Luperox® 219M75 polymer initiator is a free radical initiator for polyvinyl chloride or polyethylene synthesis. The high activity offered by Luperox® 219M75 polymer initiator can optimize production of these polymers when combined with other peroxides.
Luperox® 221 polymer initiator
Luperox® 221 polymer initiator is recommended for synthesis of thermoplastics with a need for low levels of impurity.
Luperox® 223EN60H emulsion initiator
Luperox® 223EN60H emulsion initiator is an aqueous initiator system of di-(2-ethylhexyl) peroxidicarbonate designed to offer improved ease of use to makers of PVC resins. The emulsion system uses water to act as a heat sink to improve safety in storage and handling. Users can also find better PVC resin quality as emulsions disperse much easier in suspension mediums.
Luperox® 223M75 (223M75S) polymer initiator
Luperox® 223M75 polymer initiator is a 75% active solution of EHP with added organic solvent. Luperox® 223M75S polymer initiator is the same solution, but with an added stabilizer that increases the self accelerating decomposition temperature (SADT). The stabilized solution is widely used in emulsion PVC polymerizations. High pressure applications such as tubular production of LDPE use the 223M75 solution without stabilizer.
Luperox® 223S polymer initiator
Luperox® 223S polymer initiator is pure EHP with added stabilizer that increases the self-accelerating decomposition temperature (SADT). Pure EHP is preferred for emulsion polymerization of PVC resins in combination with other initiators. The high volatility of pure EHP and the preference for a safer alternative brought Arkema to offer an emulsion technology, Luperox® 223EN60H emulsion initiator.
Luperox® 223V75 polymer initiator
Luperox® 223V75 polymer initiator is part of the V-series which dramatically improves the shelf life and SADT of the Luperox® 223 molecule, commonly known as EHP. Further improvements have been noted to the volatile organic content (VOC) emissions that result from normal PVC polymerization.
Luperox® 231 (Luperox® 231M90/231M50) polymer initiator
Luperox® 231 (Luperox® 231MO90/Luperox® 231M50) polymer initiator is widely used for the polymerization of styrene in both mass polymerization and suspension processes. The product is available in several concentrations from 50% to 90% with organic solvent, or as a technically pure liquid.
Luperox® 231XL40 crosslinking peroxide
Luperox® 231XL40 crosslinking peroxide is a 40% active dispersion of Luperox® 231 polymer initiator on calcium carbonate. This inert-phlegmatized material significantly reduces safety hazards. Luperox® 231XL40 crosslinking peroxide is especially useful for fast-curing of engineered rubber products and elastomers using a variety of mixing technologies.
Luperox® 26 polymer initiator
Luperox® 26 polymer initiator is useful in a very wide range of high polymer applications including LDPE/EVA or styrenics as well as acrylic coatings, copolymers, and PMMA. Compared with other peroxyesters, the control temperature and SADT of Luperox® 26 polymer initiator is higher allowing for improved ease of use, handling, and transportation.
Luperox® 270 polymer initiator
Luperox® 270 polymer initiator is an peroxyester useful in polymerization of LDPE, styrenics, and acrylics. The decomposition materials of Luperox® 270 polymer initiator make it a preferable choice over tert-butyl peroxybenzoate. Also, Luperox® 270 polymer initiator can be transported without refrigeration, offering increased flexibility over other peroxyesters.
Luperox® 331 polymer initiator (Luperox® 331M80/331M50)
Luperox® 331 series polymer initiators are a range of diperoxyketal solutions available worldwide in varying active concentrations. These are useful for the polymerization of styrene, ethylene, acrylics, and methacrylics.
Luperox® 531 polymer initiator (Luperox® 531M60/531M80)
Luperox® 531 polymer initiator is useful in polymerizations of styrenics, acrylics, or PMMA and its copolymers. This peroxide can be transported at ambient temperatures, giving customers added flexibility compared with temperature controlled peroxyesters. A variety of active concentrations are available worldwide, from 60% to 80% with remainder organic solvent.
Luperox® 533 polymer initiator
Luperox® 533 polymer initiator is used to polymerize acrylic monomers to form coatings resins with lower molecular weight, solution viscosity, and residual monomer content.
Luperox® 533M65 polymer initiator
Luperox® 533M65 polymer initiator is typically used for synthesis of acrylic resins for coatings applications.
Luperox® 546M75 polymer initiator
Luperox® 546M75 polymer initiator is a high activity peroxyester initiator, typically used for the polymerization of vinyl chloride in emulsion synthesis. The radicals generated are very efficient, therefore conversion of monomer is increased as compared with systems using t-butyl peroxyesters like Luperox® 10.
Luperox® 554M75 polymer initiator
Luperox® 554M75 polymer initiator is t-amyl organic peroxide for use in the manufacture of LDPE, PVC, and Acrylics. Luperox® 554M75 polymer initiator generates high numbers of low-energy radicals. This function makes it a viable option to replace azo-initiators.
Luperox® 575 polymer initiator
Luperox® 575 polymer initiator is a t-amyl initiator typically used for the production of acrylic resins. The low energy radical produced on decomposition can help improve monomer conversion, while offering lower polydispersity and solution viscosity in the finished resin.
Luperox® 610 polymer initiator
Luperox® 610 polymer initiator is useful in polymerization of vinyl chloride by improving conversion rates to boost productivity.
Luperox® 610EN50 emulsion initiator
Luperox® 610EN50 emulsion initiator is a very high activity initiator for use in suspension polymerizations of vinyl chloride to form PVC resins. The very short half-life of Luperox® 610EN50 emulsion initiator can improve conversion rates of vinyl chloride monomer to improve reactor efficiency. This efficiency is well demonstrated in resins with K values more than 65.
Luperox® 7M50 polymer initiator
Luperox® 7M50 polymer initiator can be used for polymerization of ethylene in tubular or autoclave reactors, or in emulsion polymerization of acrylics. For production of polystyrenes, Luperox® 7M50 is also useful to increase graft efficiency and molecular weight distribution.
Luperox® 801 and Luperox® D-16 liquid peroxides can be used as an alternative to solid crosslinking products, in applications where solids are too challenging to work with like polymer absorbtion.
Luperox® A75 benzoyl peroxide powder
Luperox® A75 benzoyl peroxide is a 75% active grade of BPO with remainder water added for added safety, forming a water-wet powder. Traditional uses like general purpose, high-impact, or expandable polystrenes depend on benzoyl peroxide for bulk polymerizations. Room temperature curing operations such as thermoset or acrylic composites can be achieved using benzoyl peroxide together with heavy metal or amine accelerators.

A drug master file (DMF) is continuously maintained with the United States Food and Drug Administration, and the product complies with USP and PhEur monograph specifications. Luperox® ATC50 anhydrous benzoyl peroxide paste
Luperox® ATC50 is an anhydrous benzoyl peroxide paste useful in acrylic or silicone adhesives, urethanes, polymer concrete, and other applications where a very low water content is desirable. Luperox® ATC50 is a 50-52% active weight product, with remainder tricresyl phosphate as a plasticizer.
Luperox® CU80 polymer initator
Luperox® CU80 polymer initiator is used with polyester or acrylic resins for composites applications. The recommended use is for medium and high curing temperatures, where slow gelling and low exotherm are required, especially with high-reactivity resins.

Luperox® DH (Luperox® DIBHP) polymer initiator
Luperox® DH polymer initiator and Luperox® DIBHP polymer initiator are solutions of di-isopropylbenzene hydroperoxide for use in polymer synthesis. Applications include solution or emulsion acrylic polymerization or the redox process for production of styrene butadiene rubber or copolymers.
Luperox® DI polymer initiator
Luperox® DI polymer initiator is a room-temperature stable peroxide, available pure or diluted in mineral spirits. Pure material with an anti-static additive is available in Europe. Common applications include polymerization of ethylene or acrylics polymers at high temperatures. Luperox® DI has also been shown to act as a cetane enhancer in diesel fuels.
Luperox® DTA polymer initiator
Luperox® DTA polymer initiator is useful for high temperature polymerization of solvent-borne acrylic resins for coatings, mainly used in automotive or industrial markets. Tertiary-amyl peroxides yield acrylics with good polydispersity and lower solution viscosity as the free-radicals produced are more selective. This reduces hydrogen abstraction (crosslinking) of the polymer species.
Luperox® JWEB50 polymer initiator
Luperox® JWEB50 polymer initiator is a multi-functional initiator designed to provide higher molecular weight polystyrene resins or increases in overall polymer production per given time period. The multi-functional structure of Luperox® JWEB50 promotes long-chain branching, which is difficult to achieve with a traditional di-functional initiator.
Luperox® LP dilauroyl peroxide initiator
Luperox® LP dilauroyl peroxide is the one of two very fast half-life ambient control temperature peroxides sold by Arkema worldwide (the other being Luperox® A75 benzoyl peroxide powder). Dilauroyl peroxides are useful in PVC production either for suspension or microsuspension processes. While transportation of Luperox® LP dilauroyl peroxide is permitted at ambient temperatures, storage at 40°F is recommended to maintain quality.

Luperox® SAP polymer initiator

Luperox® TAEC polymer initiator
Luperox® TAEC polymer initiator is a tertiary-amyl initiator for use in expandable polystyrene synthesis. the non-aromatic chemistry makes it a good alternative to t-butyl peroxybenzoate for food contact applications. Luperox® TAEC also yields a very efficient radical that improves monomer conversion, reducing residual styrene and improving graft efficiency.
Luperox® TAH polymer initiator
Luperox® TAH polymer initiator is available as a 75% or 85% active weight solution in water and organic solvent. Luperox® TAH has the highest active oxygen content of any tertiary-amyl initiator, and is water soluble making it a good choice for water-borne acrylics synthesis. The t-amyl radical is also very efficient, leading to improved monomer conversion and narrower polydispersity.
Luperox® TBEC polymer initiator
Luperox® TBEC polymer initiator offers as a good mix of thermal stability, crosslink efficiency, and short cure times when used to crosslink ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) polymers. Luperox® TBEC is also useful for polymerization of styrene for food-contact as it yields non-aromatic fragments upon decomposition.
Luperox® TBH70X polymer initiator is a water-soluble high temperature initiator for use in synthesis of water-borne coatings resins. Luperox® TBH70X has good elevated temperature stability during polymerization, making it a good choice for monomers with higher boiling points.
Luperox® TBICM75 polymer initiator
Luperox® TBICM75 polymer initiator is especially useful for curing of traditional or hybrid composite resins with higher vinyl-acetate or styrene content. Luperox® TBICM75 can be used to increase cycle times or reduce any unreacted resin in finished articles.

Luperox® diacyls are widely used as curing agents for unsaturated polyester resins used in molded composites, and for skin care to treat acne. At larger scales, diacyls are useful in bulk polymerization of styrene to form expandable polystyrene.
