Compensation is a recognition of individual commitment in line with the responsibilities of a given position and the company's performance. That is why we offer an attractive compensation package that is better than the industry average. 

Arkema’s remuneration package has four parts:

Fixed compensation

This rewards the employee's skills, level of responsibility, and seniority in the company. It is calculated in accordance with the principle of non-discrimination, particularly on the basis of gender. For greater transparency, fixed compensation is set according to a coefficient and/or employment level.

Variable compensation

This rewards:

  • Personal or group performance
  • Demands linked to work organization or working patterns (shift premiums, on-call duty, etc.)

Deferred compensation

This rewards the collective performance of the Arkema Group.
It includes salary savings schemes, top-up contributions such as retirement savings plans and employee stock ownership programs.

Welfare benefit plans

Health, welfare and retirement coverage are provided in addition to social security, which improve the standard of living of all our employees.

Employee share ownership

Every two years since 2008, Arkema has carried out an initiative in around 20 countries, that has allowed more than 95% of the global workforce to purchase company shares on preferential terms.
