Arkema and renewable energy solutions: partnerships for tomorrow

INES partnership

Arkema and the France's National Solar Enery Institute (INES), created a laboratory dedicated to polymer materials for photovoltaic (PV) panels. It combines our expertise in polymers with INES's expertise in design and production processes for silicon and thin-film PV technologies.

Effiwind project

Regarding wind power, Arkema has joined forces with several innovative SMEs like Plastinov: this is the Effiwind project. The objective is to develop tomorrow's wind turbine blades with Arkema's Elium® resin.

Hydro-Québec partnership

Arkema and Canadian power utility Hydro-Québec have created a joint R&D laboratory dedicated to energy storage. The laboratory will develop a new generation of materials used to make all-solid lithium batteries for hybrid and electric vehicles.

Oxis Energy partnership

Having had ties since 2012 with the company OXIS Energy, leader in lithium-sulfur compounds for next-generation rechargeable batteries, Arkema now consolidates its partnership by engaging in a new fund-raising operation.
