Cradle to gate climate change impact is climate positive with no need for carbon compensation: The biogenic (atmospheric) CO2 absorbed during the growth of the castor bean is more than the cumulative CO2 emission equivalents associated with the entire manufacturing process.

As a founding member of the Sustainable Castor Association, Arkema has been driving the Pragati Initiative for sustainable castor farming in India. Arkema empowers farmers and their communities to increase their income while practicing agriculture consistent with efficient utilization of water and land resources, improved waste management and fair labor conditions.
Our vision is to continue driving impact by scaling up from 8,000 to 100,000 farms by 2030.
