Case introduction

A Middle-East operator was faced with a high concentration of H₂S in their produced crude. The key requirement was to reduce the H₂S content to within export specifications. Reducing the H₂S content in export crude improves product quality and reduces exposure to environmental and safety risk and decreases the severity of corrosion.

After a complete system analysis, Arkema recommended Norust^®SC 62, a concentrated non-Triazine Hydrogen Sulphide Scavenger formulated to convert H₂S into a water-soluble, non-corrosive and non-toxic product.
