Esterol 18S
Esterol 18S is an inactive sulfur donor additive made of vegetable sulfurized esters (18% sulfur) compatible with mineral, synthetic base oils and greases.
Key property: bio-based.
- Worldwide
Common name : Polysulfides
Properties
Thanks to its polar head groups and fatty chains, Esterol 18S improves lubricity and anti-wear properties, while extending extreme-pressure performances. Esterol 18S is recommended for the formulation of neat and soluble metal working fluids (with a preference to yellow metals such as copper and alloys) as well as for industrial lubricants. Esterol 18S can be formulated by itself or in combination with other products within the TPS range (i.e. enhanced anti-wear & extreme-pressure properties in combination with TPS® 20,TPS® 32 or TPS® 37 LS). Esterol 18S is produced from renewable vegetable raw materials and therefore, is the ideal alternative to sulfurized lards.
