Case study: Continuous and topside H2S scavenger treatment
Case summary
-
Industry: Oil and Gas
- Application: Continuous and topside H2S scavenger treatment
-
Objective: Reducing the H2S content in export crude
-
Solution: Norust® CS6
Case introduction
A Middle-East operator was faced with a high concentration of H2S in their produced crude. The key requirement was to reduce the H2S content to within export specifications. Reducing the H2S content in export crude improves product quality and reduces exposure to environmental and safety risk and decreases the severity of corrosion.
After a complete system analysis, Arkema recommended Norust®SC 62, a concentrated non-Triazine Hydrogen Sulphide Scavenger formulated to convert H2S into a water-soluble, non-corrosive and non-toxic product.
