As part of our partnership with the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, we support the Participatory Youth Opera every year—a cultural initiative designed to make lyric art more accessible to all.

This year, we wanted to give a new dimension to this commitment by offering 10 young girls from our partner association, Sport dans la Ville - who practice hip hop - the chance to discover the world of opera.

Their journey included two key moments:

  • A guided tour of the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, giving them a behind-the-scenes look at this iconic venue and its rich history.
  • A live performance of the participatory opera, experienced with emotion, curiosity, and wonder.

Between cultural discovery, wonder and dialogue between two forms of artistic expression that seem to oppose each other, this experience revealed powerful shared values: passion, discipline, and a love for the stage.

This initiative illustrates Arkema's desire to build bridges between the different worlds we care deeply about —broadening cultural access for young people and promoting education, inclusion, and diversity. It’s our way of saying: every talent has a place—on stage and in society.

Since 2018, Arkema has supported the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in its efforts to raise awareness of music as a partner of operas for young audiences.
