Arkema Multi50 trimaran track record
Since it was first launched at the end of March 2013, the Arkema Multi50 trimaran has taken part in many ocean races.
Drheam Cup 2018
Lalou Roucayrol was set to sail the 700 nautical mile course from La Trinité-sur-Mer to Cherbourg.
Erratic winds made for a challenging start to the race, as the boats struggled to make any headway.
Following a great comeback later on, Lalou eventually finished the race in second place!
Grand Prix Guyader 2018
After clinching second place in 2017, the crew made it to the top of the podium at this 2018 edition of the Grand Prix Guyader.
For this race at the beginning of May, Lalou Roucayrol was surrounded by César Dohy (in charge of the sails), Karine Fauconnier (overseeing the boat’s performance), Quentin Vlamynck (boat captain of the Multi 50 Arkema), and Romaric Neyhousser (the boat’s architect).
Grand Prix de l’École Navale 2018
The Grand Prix de l’École Navale event followed in the wake of the Grand Prix Guyader.
The crew was the same, except for Romaric Neyhousser, who exchanged places with Aquitaine-born skipper Yannick Bestaven.
They finished the race in an excellent second place in the Multi50 category.
Transat Jacques Vabre 2017
Lalou Roucayrol and Alex Pella crossed the finish line of the Transat Jacques Vabre in Salvador de Bahia (Brazil) as winners in the Multi50 category. The Arkema pair covered the course’s 4,350 theoretical miles of the legendary Coffee Route in 10 days 19 hours 14 minutes and 19 seconds. An outstanding performance for these skippers who managed to overcome both technical and physical hurdles to ultimately claim victory!
Grand Prix Guyader 2017
Following its winter refit, the trimaran Multi50 was back for the 2017 season with the Grand Prix Guyader race. A first limbering-up for Team Arkema Lalou Multi which finished the race in a pleasing 2nd place.
