Oxygen production by Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) and Vacuum Pressure Swing Adsorption (VPSA)

The adsorption process, generally called PSA or VPSA, is used to generate oxygen for small and medium capacity units, often used in remote locations that are not connected to an oxygen grid.

In this process, air passes through a molecular sieves bed that adsorbs nitrogen (N2), carbon dioxide (CO2) and water (H2O). Depending on the purity target Lithium or Sodium-based zeolites are used. Arkema Siliporite® Ox Series offer both types.
