You will learn that a battery is an assembly of thousands of cells and that a cell—cylindrical, prismatic, or pouch, depending on the application—always combines a cathode, an anode, a separator, and an electrolyte to produce energy. Did you know that an electric vehicle battery pack can contain up to 9,000 cells?
