For a few years now our subsidiary, Arkema Peroxides India, has been supporting two primary and secondary schools in villages close to the Cuddalore plant in Southern India.
On October 7 2013, at an event celebrating the famous Navratri festival, Suresh Ramachandran, Country Manager for India, accompanied by Ravi Rajagopalan, General Manager of Arkema Peroxides India, and K. Veeramani, HR Manager, donated 2,000 and 3,000 rupees to the most deserving pupils of the secondary school.
Meanwhile, the primary school was given steel cabinets for storing equipment.
In recent years, the Chonaganchavadi primary school has been donated learning material, uniforms, shoes, stationery, water tanks, etc.
The Poondiyankuppam secondary school, for its part, has been fitted with tables, desks, computers, drinking water pipes, etc.
