Why did you choose Arkema to establish your long-term career?
Arkema provided me with opportunities to grow. I joined Arkema over 30 year ago. I was hired to write Accounting Policies and Procedures. Twenty five years ago Arkema gave me the opportunity to move from accounting to IT to follow my career interests. I have had the opportunity to move into positions with increasing leadership based on my abilities and interests.
What has kept you engaged with Arkema over the course of your career?
The robust Talent Management process at Arkema. My managers have insured I have had goals, challenging assignments and open communications where I have been able to speak up, to say where I wanted to advance in my career. I have had managers who have worked with me to develop the skills I would need to get to that next position.
What’s a typical day at Arkema for you look like?
My days are busy, many meetings, many emails much interaction with others in the US and other countries. I never have the same day twice. Never boring.
What skills have you learned or developed working for Arkema?
I feel that Arkema has invested a lot in me. I have had technical trainings and professional skills trainings but the most memorable trainings were the leadership trainings.
What advice do you have for new employees joining Arkema?
If you are interested in something speak up and ask for an opportunity. Don’t shy away from a challenge. Never stop growing, learning and expanding your abilities. Embrace change.
What Arkema Value resonates strongly for you and why?
Empowerment resonates strongly for me because I have been given many opportunities to move forward. I feel my leaders have trusted that I would succeed and also supported me so that I could succeed.

I have had many great experiences at Arkema and have worked with many great teams. The best experience, the one that always makes me smile and makes me proud is being part of the team that raised awareness that a stronger commitment to diversity and inclusion was required at Arkema Inc. That project was presented in 2020 and I see significant changes and efforts toward this growth. My personal statement was, I have been at Arkema a long time and I really like it here. I want every employee to have the same experience.
