Traditionally, few women worked in industry, especially in management roles. Thankfully, this is changing and Arkema is one of those companies that is strongly committed to this objective of Diversity and Inclusion, explains Mélanie Jourdain, Group Talent Director.

“We see more and more young women every year graduating engineering and business schools, and if they wish, great career opportunities are available to them within the Group. Today, 35% of our managers and 30% of our senior executives & senior managers are women, while in the latter category, they were only 18% 8 years ago.

This progress reflects our voluntary policy which aims to offer women the same career opportunities as men. An ambition that is expressed in our new global objective: to achieve 35% women representation in senior management and executive positions by 2030. Women have their place at Arkema in all professions at all levels, and this, not because they are women but in light of their soft and professional skills, like everyone else.”
