How it works
Each school principal and teacher must complete an application form, which requests information about the nominated teachers.
Selection criteria include:
- interest in science
- leadership potential
- student impact
- geographic location
Teachers and principals are notified by email of their selection and receive a package of information describing the program and schedule of events.
The annual application process typically starts in the beginning of the year and rolls throughout May, with many programs happening in July. However, each site Science Teachers Program operates independently, and timelines may vary.
