Kynar Flex® 3030 PVDF has a melting point greater than 160°C and has impact ductility more than 15°C lower than any other Kynar Flex® PVDF product currently on the market. The new grade could, therefore, be suitable for many types of applications requiring -40°C performance. This grade is available as both a plenum and non-plenum grade and is manufactured with a variety of viscosities. Improvements in flexibility and temperature performance have been achieved while maintaining good tensile and elongation properties.
This high performance grade is aimed at satisfying some of the most demanding wire and cable requirements driven by applications such as fiber-optics, down hole, shipboard, communications, mining and transit applications. These applications demand a material that has both chemical and temperature performance and at the same time has a very high degree of flexibility and strength.
