The Athletics sponsorship is in addition to existing academic, research and recruiting collaborations, and will generate new volunteerism opportunities for Arkema employees.

Arkema, a global specialty materials leader with its North American headquarters in Radnor, Pa., and Villanova University have expanded and formalized their strategic relationship through a new sponsorship of Villanova Athletics.

For several years, Arkema and Villanova have worked together on a wide range of initiatives, including internships, research and development projects, and recruitment programs with Villanova’s College of Engineering and Department of Chemistry. The new agreement between Arkema and Villanova Athletics enhances that collaboration with a three-season sponsorship of Villanova football, men’s and women’s basketball, and men’s lacrosse.

“This agreement will have a significant impact on Arkema as it will allow us to fully optimize our existing relationship with Villanova University and increase our visibility among one of the most loyal alumni networks and fan bases in the country.”

As part of the agreement, Arkema will be recognized as an Official Partner of Villanova Athletics. The sponsorship delivers additional community and engagement opportunities.

The sponsorship will include a monthly Scholar Athlete award to recognize student-athletes across all sports who personify both organizations’ commitment to community, education, and the spirit of athletic competition. It also creates new opportunities for Arkema employee volunteers to participate each year in the Villanova Day of Service and Special Olympics Fall Festival—two of the University’s signature annual community events.

“We’re excited to welcome Arkema as an Official Partner of Villanova Athletics and to build on a relationship that has already created meaningful opportunities across our University,” said Eric Roedl, Villanova Vice President and Director of Athletics. “This partnership reflects our shared commitment to excellence, innovation and developing future leaders. By connecting academics, research and athletics, we’re creating new ways to engage our student-athletes, our campus community and our fans while strengthening ties with a valued corporate partner right here in our region.”
