Arkema is extending its support for Women’s football for another three years. The Group, which became the official namer of the competition in 2019, will remain the naming partner of the Arkema Première Ligue until the 2027/2028 season. With this renewed commitment, the Group reaffirms its desire to contribute, alongside the French Football Federation, to speeding up the development of Women’s football in France.
This renewal is fully in line with the shared ambition of the FFF (French Football Federation) and the LFFP (Professional Women’s Football League in France) to provide greater resources to the Arkema Première Ligue and make it even more visible, competitive and appealing. It also highlights the strength of the partnership initiated in 2019 around common values between the FFF and Arkema: innovation, daring, inclusion, and long-term commitment to supporting women in both sport and society.
Changing the perception of Women’s football in France and around the world
Beyond the naming of the French championship and its partnership with the French women’s national team, with Euro 2025 in Switzerland on the horizon, Arkema places great importance on women’s football in all its forms. In France, in addition to supporting the elite championship, the Group also sponsors some twenty amateur women’s football clubs based in the vicinity of its industrial sites. These include FC Serquigny Nassandres in Normandy, Nans-les-Pins near Marseille, and ES Anzin near Arras.
For over a year now, this initiative has been extended internationally through partnerships with women’s football clubs such as FC Santos in Brazil, Club Deportivo Carlos Casares in Argentina, and NC Courage in the United States.
By renewing its partnership, Arkema is doing more than just supporting women’s football—the Group is investing in a broader movement, a societal transformation, and a more inclusive future that helps shift the perception of women’s football in France and around the world.
I am proud and pleased that the name of Arkema will continue to be associated with the French Women’s Football Championship for another three years. By remaining the official naming partner of the Arkema Première Ligue, we are once again demonstrating our loyalty and keen commitment to women’s football. This makes us a key and active player in the development of a meaningful and forward-looking project. With this renewed partnership, we are contributing to future success by offering long-term, concrete support, in keeping with our values of inclusion and performance.”
Philippe Diallo, FFF President:
“We are pleased and proud to sign this renewal with Arkema, a loyal partner of women’s football for nearly six years. Their commitment—in both sporting and social terms—will allow the FFF and the LFFP to further step up their efforts to develop elite as well as amateur women’s football. By investing so strongly in the Première Ligue championship, Arkema is paving the way and reaffirming its belief—shared with the FFF—that sport is a powerful driver of social transformation.”
Jean-Michel Aulas, LFFP President:
“It is thanks to commitments like these that top-level women’s football continues to expand. The joint efforts of players, clubs, the Federation, and corporate partners have led to the remarkable growth of women’s football in recent years—growth in which Arkema has played a major role across France. The involvement of such a well-known company contributes to enhancing the visibility and appeal of our championship, not only in France but also internationally, where our sport is experiencing unprecedented development in every region of the world.”

Clara Mateo, a perfect ambassador
Clara Mateo, a materials engineer at Arkema, is also a French international top player, recently named Player of the Year in the Arkema Première Ligue. She is a powerful symbol of Arkema’s commitments and proves that it is possible to succeed both as a top athlete and as a scientist.
Arkema is at the heart of sport—and sport is at the heart of the Group: through its commitment to football alongside the FFF and the contribution of its cutting-edge, bio-based materials that are trusted by leading global brands.
