Launched at the beginning of October, the “Octobre Rose” operation concluded this weekend for the Arkema D1 Division.
Through various initiatives (wearing of armbands or pink laces, reskinning of social media accounts, awareness messages, etc.), the twelve clubs and all players in the championship gave their support to the fight against breast cancer.As a D1 partner and namer, Arkema had also decided to rally round in support of this cause by donating €100 per goal scored for all championship games played in October.
81 goals were scored, therefore this would have amounted to €8,100 euros. But thanks to extraordinary mobilization around the Octobre Rose operation on every Arkema D1 football pitch, the Group decided to round this up to €10,000. Hence this is the amount of the cheque that the captains of the Montpellier and Lyon teams, Iva Landeka and Wendie Renard, presented to the Ruban Rose association before the match kick-off on Saturday October 31st. “Arkema is delighted to have given its support to the Ruban Rose association as part of this great 2020 awareness campaign.
