A further two initiatives have been added to Arkema’s philanthropic program, one around young children’s awareness of classical musical culture, and the other around social integration through sport.

Bringing young people to music with the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées

Already a sponsor of the Théâtre since the 2017/2018 season, Arkema now sponsors operas for young audiences, to support actions that raise awareness of classical music.

Through its “young audience programming”, the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées every year gives over 10,000 children from elementary and high schools in Paris and the surrounding area – in particular from so-called sensitive districts – the opportunity to learn about classical music in both a fun and an educational way.

For the 2018/2019 season, the show Une Carmen, étoile du cirque, a shorter version of Carmen by Georges Bizet, will be on the billboard. This Young Public participatory opera will be produced by the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées and sponsored by Arkema.

Promoting the integration of girls with the Sport dans la ville association

By partnering the association Sport dans la Ville, Arkema supports in particular the association’s “L dans la Ville” program, which assists girls in their development as well as their social and, later, professional integration. The program includes cultural visits and visits to businesses, discovery stays, and training workshops.
