Arkema’s linear mercaptans, including Normal Octyl Mercaptan (NOM) and Normal Dodecyl Mercaptan (NDM), are used primarily in the plastics and rubber industry as a chain tranfer agent (CTA) during the polymerization process of various materials (PMMA, ABS acrylics, and more). They can also be used as building blocks for high performance antioxidants.

Hexylene Glycol or HG is an oxygenated solvent derived from acetone which has two alcohol functions. It has a low evaporation rate and it is completely miscible with water.

It is mainly used as a solvent or coupling agent. It is a potential substitute for glycol ethers. It is also an effective shrinkage reduction admixture or SRA for concrete and mortar. Hexylene glycol can also be used as a building block in chemical synthesis.

As a water-based solution, Hydrazine Hydrate and its Derivatives are supplied by Arkema to be widely used as reducing agent, blowing agent, corrosion inhibitor, oxygen scavenger or intermediate of synthesis.
