Organization

Four business segments:

Arkema’s organization is the product of in-depth transformations conducted over recent years to optimize the Group’s positioning as a leader of specialty materials.

Each business segment draws its strength from the following:

  • Leading market positions on most of its activity.
  • A great capacity for innovation focused on sustainable development and the protection of the environment.
  • Worldwide geographical coverage, evenly balanced between North America, Europe and Asia.

(Adhesive Solutions, Advanced Materials, Coating Solutions segments)

*Starting in 2026, Arkema introduced a Primary Materials segment alongside the three existing Specialty Materials segments whose perimeters will be slightly adjusted. This segment includes the global acrylic monomers business, legacy refrigerants, largely expected to phase out around 2030, differentiating themselves from the high growth, next generation solutions, which will now be consolidated under Specialty Materials; and the hydrogen peroxide business and some of its derivatives.

Going where the growth is:

Arkema pursues the strategic rebalancing of its activities towards complementary geographic positions between Asia and the rest of world, Europe and North America.

Thanks to its targeted acquisition strategy and recent industrial investments, the Group is now more international than ever.

From 2005 to 2025, Asia and rest of the world's share in sales terms rose from 18% to 33%, North America from 25% to 34% whereas Europe's share dropped to 33% (against 57% in 2005).

In the beginning, Arkema was based mainly in Europe and the United States. Our external growth strategy has helped us balance the Group's presence across the globe. We have enhanced our foothold in Asia, close to high-growth markets."

Arkema in a nutshell
