FAQ (For new graduates in Japan)

Do you provide any training programs?

At ARKEMA, we provide various training programs such as the basic company knowledge, regulations and business etiquette. Further training programs will be offered providing both on the job and off the job training covering knowledge and skills needed to implement actual assigned tasks, as necessary. There is the possibility of opportunities to join overseas training programs.

What are the language requirements?

Although ARKEMA is a French company, the common language among group companies is English. For the sales post in ARKEMA Japan, even though most of our customers are Japanese companies, English is essential for the communication within the assigned business unit. We often have staff and visitors from overseas frequent our offices therefore communication in English is common in daily business life. In particular, the Kyoto Technical Center has to communicate with global R&D members, staff and trainees, proving that at ARKEMA, you can have a firsthand experience of a global working environment. In saying that, we do not expect our staff to be completely fluent in English. We believe that the most important factor is to understand conversation content accurately and to be able to express yourself clearly. As having a high level of English fluency will open up new opportunities for your future career, we hope that our staff will have a positive attitude to accept new challenges in the working environment.

What are the selection processes?

The initial selection will be based on your CV. The final decision will be made after several interviews (For selected posts, there will be interviews in English.)

How do you notify candidate’s results of each selection process?

Only candidates who have been selected to proceed to the next step will be notified either by telephone or e-mail.

How can I apply for company introduction seminars?

We do not usually conduct company introduction seminars. If you have any inquiries regarding this, please contact careers.japan@arkema.com.

Do you accept applications from those who have already graduated?

Yes we do. The same conditions apply as the new graduates.

Do you have any openings for administrative posts?

Currently we are recruiting for research and development posts only.
