Arkema showcases at Sustainable Material Expo 2025 Tokyo

Arkema continues to advance sustainability in high-performance materials. Arkema’s flagship Rilsan^® PA11, derived entirely from renewable castor oil, has now achieved a carbon footprint of only 1.3 kg CO₂ eq. per kg of product, as calculated in accordance with ISO 14040, 14044 and 14067 standards. This milestone reflects Arkema’s transition to renewable electricity across all production sites.

To meet rising demand for transparent bio-based polymers, Arkema is also investing in a new Rilsan^® Clear product unit in Singapore, which will triple capacity by 2026. As the leading producer of bio-based transparent polyamides, Arkema offers Rilsan^® Clear Rnew^® G850 and G820, containing 45% and 62% bio-based carbon, combining lightweight, transparency, flexibility, and chemical resistance across a wide temperature range.
