Arkema and Toyotsu Chemiplas (TCP) have signed an agreement for distribution of Arkema’s Forane® FBA 1233zd foam blowing agent in several countries in Asia and Southeast Asia.
Forane® FBA 1233zd is a highly-effective Hydrofluoroolefin (HFO) blowing agent for use in polyurethane foams and other foams. It is non-ozone depleting, non-flammable, and has ultra-low Global Warming Potential (GWP).
We want to increase our proximity to foam customers in Asia and Southeast Asia. Arkema also wants to provide environmentally-friendly solutions to our customers as they address their Next Generation foam needs. Toyotsu Chemiplas will be an instrumental partner, introducing Forane® FBA 1233zd, enhancing technical support, and providing a broad portfolio of other foam raw materials, combining for a major benefit to foam customers across Asia.
Partnering with Arkema greatly enhances our product and services portfolio, particularly with regard to our blowing agent offerings. The primary goal of the distributor agreement is to utilize Toyotsu Chemiplas’ proven infrastructure and wide and deep presence in the Asian foam market to more effectively market Arkema’s Forane® FBA 1233zd to a diverse and growing market.
The distribution agreement covers foam sales in Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam. This multi-year agreement covers sales into foam blowing applications only.
