Günzburg production plant
Since 1955, Arkema GmbH, Günzburg, has been producing an extensive range of organic peroxides under the brand name Luperox®.
It is the strongest export subsidiary of Arkema GmbH. Over 80% of Günzburg’s production is sold outside Germany. Approximately 150 people are employed in Günzburg.
The Günzburg plant is under compliance with the German Federal Immission Control Ordinances 4. BImSchV and 12. BImSchV.

Social involvement:
The Arkema Günzburg site makes regular donations to the municipal school system as well as to various community associations for organized sports and other leisure activities. Contributions extend to co-sponsoring of the annual „Kultursommer der Stadt Günzburg“ festival as well as to close cooperation of the site’s firefighters with the local fire departments in Günzburg and Wasserburg. In partnership with Günzburg’s adult education center, Arkema offers organized tours of the plant to the general public.

Kirchheimbolanden production plant
The Arkema GmbH Kirchheimbolanden branch operates a plant for the conditioning of hydrogen peroxide. Product tradenames include Albone®, Peroxal® and Valsterane®.
This unit supplies European and international clients in the pulp and paper business, and the textile, chemical, metallurgical, pharmaceutical and food industries.
Approximately 10 employees run this unit.
The Kirchheimbolanden plant is under compliance with the German Federal Immission Control Ordinances 4. BImSchV and 12. BImSchV.

Leuna production plant
The Leuna branch office of Arkema GmbH has been operating a production plant for the manufacture of hydrogen peroxide on the Leuna chemical site since 1997. The trade name of the product is Albone®.
The plant supplies European clients in the pulp and paper business, as well as the textile, chemical and metallurgical industries.
Leuna employs around 40 people.
The Leuna plant is under compliance with the German Federal Immission Control Ordinances 4. BImSchV and 12. BImSchV.

Vastorf production plant
The Arkema GmbH Vastorf branch supplies the entire German market and that of neighboring countries with odorants for natural gas and LPG. For customers located in Germany, a free container pick-up and delivery service is provided nationwide.
This facility was designed in July 2000 both to pack the most widely used odorant in Germany for natural gas, namely THT (tetrahydrothiophene), and to produce mercaptan and THT/mercaptan blends, sold under the trade name Spotleak®.
Other specialties include odorants for liquefied petroleum gas, known internationally under the brand Vigileak®.
The Vastorf facility employs 6 people.

Zwickau production plant
Arkema GmbH operates on the site Arkema Coating Resins (formerly Cray Valley Kunstharze GmbH) in Zwickau facilities to produce a range solvent-borne resins and waterborne resin dispersions. Approximately 120 people are employed on the Zwickau site.
