Lalou Roucayrol and his crew of the Multi 50 Arkema won the first edition of the Valdys Trophy, which took place from 1st to 8th September, finishing in style the pre-season races 2018 before the ultimate transatlantic and emblematic Route du Rhum- Destination Guadeloupe.

Until the last moment, the thrill has been set for this high-level edition of the Grand Prix Valdys, as the competition between the crews has been intense. In the end, Arkema arrives on "the edge" at the top of the podium, after a week of speed runs, regattas and offshore racing.

During the competition, which took place between September 1st and 8th between Roscoff and Douarnenez, while passing off the Vendée, the medocain skipper and his crew showed the solidity of their team and the full potential of their trimaran.

This victory, with the first place won at the Grand Prix Guyader last May, confirms the performance of the trimaran and the technical choices made during the winter worksite.

From now on, the intensive phase of preparation is in place for the season's peak, the Route du Rhum-Destination Guadeloupe. See you on November 4th, for the departure to Saint-Malo!
