Arkema will discuss its Peroxal® CG cosmetic grade hydrogen peroxide for personal care at Expo Cosmética in Mexico City on August 9, 2018. Arkema’s Peroxal® CG addresses the needs for high purity, dilutable hydrogen peroxide in the personal care and cleaning markets.
Arkema’s Keith Genco, applications development manager for hydrogen peroxides in North America, will be presenting “Peroxal® CG: Cosmetic Grade Peroxide for Personal Care.” The Expo Cosmética is a premier cosmetic show that brings together raw materials, packaging, equipment, and services related to the personal care industry.
Genco’s presentation will focus on hydrogen peroxide’s role in hair bleaching and coloring chemistry. In addition, he will explore hydrogen peroxide properties, synthesis, purification, chemistry, stabilization, safety, and provide an explanation of its varied uses. Some example formulations and benefits of highly stable peroxide in personal care will be demonstrated.
Arkema’s Peroxal® CG grade hydrogen peroxide offers high purity and exceptional stability in a wide range of personal care formulations, including hair colorant and bleaches in dilute conditions, without the need of additional stabilizers. Peroxal® CG hydrogen peroxide is also stable in thickened formulations such as tooth bleaching gels, and allows for ease of formulation with a broad range of ingredients. Arkema’s Peroxal® CG, when properly diluted with water to 3.0 gm hydrogen peroxide per 100 ml, meets the specifications as required by the United States Pharmacopia.
