Rotterdam plant (Netherlands)
At our Rotterdam site, production takes place in the Multi Purpose Plant (MPP) unit. In the MPP, Arkema produces products such as Sodium Methyl Mercaptides (SMM), Methyl-Ethyl Sulphide, BMTP and Vultacs.
SMM finds its application in plant protection products, Vultac is a vulcanization aid in the rubber industry for car tires in particular. BMTP is used as a catalyst.
About 85 employees work at the production site in Rotterdam.

Vlissingen plant (Netherlands)
At our Vlissingen site, Arkema produces various chemicals (additives) for a wide range of applications in industries such as plastics.
Approximately 60 employees work at this production site, spread across departments including Production & Supply Chain, HSE, Quality Control, Maintenance, and Engineering.
Arkema Vlissingen's unique chemicals are processed into plastic end products, giving these end products a longer service life, greater resistance to external influences, and making them easier to process/work with. Examples include plastic window frames, cladding, pipes, and tubes.

Moerdijk plant (Netherlands)
Moerdijk site is specialized in water-based rheological additives. These additives are used to change the viscosity and flow properties of aqueous solutions containing finely ground minerals. Paints, coatings, adhesives, and personal hygiene products are just a few of the many applications where these additives are crucial.
Our rheology and specialty additives can be found in various growth markets.
At Arkema's Moerdijk site, around 18 employees work in various departments (Production & Logistics, HSE, Administration, Quality Control, and Maintenance).

Brummen (Netherlands)
Arkema produces vinyl acetate monomer-based dispersions in Brummen. The core business of this production site is manufacturing the base emulsion for cheese coating. In addition, cheese coating is also produced as an end product on a tolling basis.
The well-coordinated team of the plant is able to consistently exceed customer expectations in a safe and efficient manner. The 20 employees constantly strive for improvement, and are open to innovation and change.
Thanks in part to the efforts of all employees, Arkema Brummen was the first Arkema site to achieve 5S certification.

Antwerp plant (Belgium)
At the Antwerp plant, we specialize in alkoxylation reactions. Starting with a wide range of raw materials, we produce over 130 different products. Each year between 25.000 and 30.000 tons leave this Arkema plant.
Our alkoxylations are performed with ethylene oxide/propylene oxide/butylene oxide.
Our end products are used in various industries and have a wide range of applications.
Most of our products are used in the Resins & Coatings industry, for example in lacquers, paints, coatings for the automotive and shipping industries, coatings for cans, additives for fiber optic cables, and PUR additives.
Arkema Antwerp's products are also used in the Home Care Industry. These include solvents, descalers, cleaning agents, detergents, etc.
The production site in Antwerp employs around 45 employees.
