It is the first visit of this type that Arkema Argentina organized in Carlos Casares town.
Last Tuesday, October 8, Arkema Argentina leaders received representatives of the local press at the Carlos Casares odorant plant. It is the first visit of this type that Arkema Argentina organized in said town. The Casares Plant is one of five that the Arkema Group has around the world dedicated to the odorization of natural gas and liquefied petroleum gas.
The Casares Plant, operational since 1995 in the city's Industrial Park, is one of the Arkema Group's five facilities around the world dedicated to the odorization of natural gas and liquefied petroleum gas. With a property of 8,500 square meters, the plant supplies gas distributors throughout the country and in other countries in the Southern Cone. Currently, it employs 16 people directly and 25 indirectly.
The importance of odorizing natural gas
Natural gas and liquefied petroleum gas must be odorized since in their natural states they are odorless, and in the event of a leak we would be unable to capture it. In almost all countries in the world, gas odorization is mandatory by law. Gas odorization is therefore a critical factor for home and industrial safety.
