Arkema's Airsiev® Series includes a number of synthetic zeolite based molecular sieves designed for the production of oxygen, which is used in many applications including: steel production, energy, chemical industry, pulp bleaching and oxygen supply for patients suffering from respiratory diseases.

Oxygen production by Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) and Vacuum Pressure Swing Adsorption (VPSA)
The two main technologies to produce and supply oxygen for the industry are cryogenic distillation for larger quantities and high oxygen purity and PSA/VPSA for smaller plants.
- For cryogenic distillation in air separations units, the extremely low temperatures used to separate molecules requires that the feed gas contains very low water and CO2 contents to avoid the formation of ice or hydrates in the cold box. Our Airsiev® P series, with its high CO2 adsorption capacity, is especially well suited for this gas pre-purification step.
- For Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) and Vacuum Pressure Swing Adsorption (VPSA) units, the key parameters for molecular sieves are their adsorption capacity and their oxygen selectivity towards nitrogen. Our Airsiev® Ox series is our clients’ solution of choice for all the designs of PSA or VPSA units.
