Arkema is a recognized major player in molecular sieves (an activity previously run by its subsidiary CECA) with its registered trademark Siliporite®


Molecular sieves, marketed under the trademark Siliporite®, make up a comprehensive portfolio of adsorption agents for the following sectors:

  • Insulated double glazing,
  • Coatings, adhesives, sealants and elastomers,
  • Natural gas drying,
  • Petrochemicals and refining,
  • Ethanol drying,
  • Medical oxygen concentrators,
  • Industrial oxygen and hydrogen production,
  • Pharmaceuticals packaging.

Arkema’s experts in this activity are available in Europe, the United States, Asia and the Middle East. R&D is located in Lacq, France, close to one of the largest sour gas deposits in Europe. This research center runs a number of pilot plants replicating our customers’ own processes, which enables us to fine-tune our products based on specific applications. 


Arkema operates two molecular sieves production plants, one in Honfleur, France, and the other in Inowroclaw, Poland. 2017 saw the opening of a new plant on the French site, financed by a 60 million euro investment, which will enable the Group to support its customers’ growth in the refining and petrochemicals sector, in particular in Asia and the Middle East.

FEBEX, Arkema phosphorus derivatives

As part of this business, the Group also manufactures and markets, through its subsidiary FEBEX based in Switzerland, a comprehensive range of phosphorus derivatives.
