Kynar® ADX

Description

Kynar® ADX resin by Arkema is a new, functionalized PVDF range. Kynar® ADX resin is based on a patented innovative synthesis process developed by the Arkema Technical Polymers R&D Department.

As a standard grade Kynar® PVDF, Kynar® ADX is a tough engineered thermoplastic that offers a unique balance of properties. It has high stability when exposed to harsh thermal, chemical, and ultraviolet environments. Kynar® ADX resins can be melt-processed using standard extrusion methods.

Properties

Thanks to its high reactivity offering high adhesion performance on various substrates, Kynar® ADX can be used in a wide range of applications for different markets such as the automotive and chemical industries, batteries, coatings and packaging.

  • In co-extrusion: Kynar® ADX resin can be combined with most polymers (PE, PA, Polyester etc.) to achieve synergy of performance such as mechanical, chemical and barrier properties

  • In solvent processes: Kynar® ADX resin can be dissolved in order to be applied pure or with fillers on metals, for instance as high-adhesion primer or binder

  • In powder coatings: Kynar® ADX resin can be applied on steel or aluminum for high anticorrosion coatings for the chemicals industry

Kynar® ADX keeps all specific properties of PVDF such as high mechanical strength, high abrasion and chemical resistance, low permeability or its low flame and smoke characteristics.
