Description

Plastistrength® is a wide range of acrylic processing aids from medium to ultra high molecular weight that offers enhanced processability to most rigid vinyl formulations such as profile, pipe, calendered sheet, blow molded bottle and foam sheet and profile.
Plastistrength® provides enhanced fusion and higher processability but also imparts good to high melt strength during processing while minimizing die swell.
Plastistrength® has been extensively tested in weatherable applications and is widely used in exterior building product where good weathering performance is critical.

Properties

Markets and applications

Plastistrength® are recommended in tin, lead, mixed metal PVC formulations for vinyl siding, doors, windows, cladding, pipes, fittings, conduits and injection-molded goods.
Lubricant Plastistrength® is recommended for high speed extrusion, calendaring, injection-molding etc. where good metal release from processing equipment is required.
High molecular weight Plastistrength® is recommended for applications such as foam pipes, foam profiling, foam sheets and wood composites. It imparts a uniform close cell structure in foamed PVC.
