Tetrachim is to distribute Arkema’s Rilsan® polyamide 11 high performance fine powders in Europe, North Africa and the Middle East. Tetrachim was selected for the quality of its sales network and for its specialist expertise in the distribution of high-tech coatings to surface treatment processors. Arkema’s European customers will therefore benefit from a dedicated package of services and optimum logistics resources.

Rilsan® fine powders are unique polyamide 11 thermoplastic powders produced from a renewable raw material, castor oil.  Rilsan® coatings offer high performance surface protection through a unique combination of mechanical properties (in particular abrasion and impact) as well as resistance to corrosion and chemical agents.

The Rilsan® tradename is a worldwide reference in a number of industrial sectors demanding optimum metal protection: automotive (sliding door rails, splined shafts, etc.), fluids (coating of pipes, connections, pumps, etc.), household electrical goods, printing rollers. Rilsan® Active was recently developed to fulfil the expectations of healthcare facilities and the food industry by offering added protection against bacterial proliferation. Besides coatings applications, Rilsan® fine powders are used as paint additives and in laser sintering processes.

As a complement to this product range, Pebax® thermoplastic elastomer fine powders are used to produce more flexible and anti-slip coatings for the automotive and aerospace industries.
