Effective July 15th 2008, or as soon as contracts permit, Arkema will implement a price increase on all Organic Peroxide products in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Arkema continues to experience increases in raw material, packaging and logistic costs. As a result, Arkema is forced to raise its prices by 7%. This will be applicable to all Organic Peroxide types in every market segment.

As far as fatty acid based peroxides are concerned, Arkema will increase the price of its Lauryl Peroxide range (Luperox® LP) and Decanoyl Peroxide range (Luperox® DEC) by 12%. Luperox® 801, a Cumene Peroxide, will also increase by 12%.

Finally, in view of the volatility of raw materials, prices will be revised every three months.

Organic Peroxides are used primarily as polymerization initiators for polyethylene, polystyrene, PVC, and acrylic resins.
