DMS and DMDS for Steamcrackers
Coke often builds up in steam cracker pyrolosis tubes or coils. To keep coke formation to a minimum, Arkema offers a line of sulfur products including: Dimethyl Sulfide (DMS) and Dimethyl Disulfide (DMDS). Both products can be used to reduce coke formation and improve plant performance.
Properties
DMS is a volatile liquid with a strong odor.
Markets and Applications
Dimethyl Sulfide (DMS) is widely used as an anti-coking agent in ethylene furnaces.
