DescriptionMAA is produced using the acetone cyanhydrin process.
Properties
MAA can polymerize and copolymerize to produce acrylic resins and acrylic water-based dispersions It can produce anionic water-soluble polymers Adhesion on polar substrate and capability of chemical modification brought by MAA to the polymers.
Markets and applications
Methacrylic acid polymers and copolymers cover a very wide range of applications, such as: water-soluble copolymers for dispersing agents, thickeners detergent auxiliaries organic synthesis copolymer emulsions for paints, varnishes and inks dispersions for leather, textiles, non-woven fabrics, glues and adhesives plastics and synthetic resins
