Norsocryl® Acrylic Acid and Esters

Description

Acrylic monomers produced by Esterification.

Properties

  • Addition reaction to the double bond.
  • Acrylates and AA can polymerize and co-polymerize to produce acrylic resins and water-based acrylic, styrenic/acrylic or vinylic/acrylic dispersions.
  • The low tg of EA, BA and 2EHA homopolymers allows for customized softness and tack.
  • Acrylic acid can polymerize and co-polymerize to produce low molecular weight (dispersants) and high molecular weight anionic water-soluble polymers.
  • Adhesion on polar substrate and AA can modify polymer chemistry.
