Orgasol® Invent Smooth: A polyamide powder for Selective Laser Sintering

Laser Sintering (LS) is used for rapid prototyping and rapid manufacturing by creating elaborate 3-dimensional objects that can be used for models or as functional parts.

 

Laser Sintering (LS) is an additive manufacturing technique that uses a laser beam to produce 3D parts by fusing together thermoplastic powders layer by layer.

 

There is a growing interest for LS technology because of it provides quick identification of design issues and easily produces durable complex parts.

 

Orgasol® Invent Smooth is used in Laser Sintering to produce small and complex polyamide pieces. Due to its unique, patented polymerization process, Orgasol® Invent Smooth has outstanding viscosity stability and easily recycled. Compared to other PA 12 powders, this is an important benefit of using Orgasol® Invent Smooth in rapid manufacturing.

 

Using Orgasol® Invent Smooth powder in rapid manufacturing achieves excellent contour resolution and surface appearance, thanks to its unique particle shape and narrow particle size distribution.
