Orgalloy® polyamide based thermoplastic alloys feature far superior properties compared to polyamide 6 and polyamide 6.6, including dimensional stability, outstanding chemical resistance and barrier properties.
Initial state: 24 hours after moulding
In various test conditions, Orgalloy® RS 6000, RS 6600 and RS 6030 grades feature better dimensional stability than polyamide 6 and polyamide 6.6. Dimensional and weight variations are indeed smaller for Orgalloy® than for the others.
Benefits: - outstanding dimensional stability - stable rigidity
After immersion in water at 23°C for several days, we can observe that flexural modulus for RS 6600 and RS 6000 Orgalloy® grades are more stable than for PA 6.6 or PA 6
Benefits:
- Greater resistance to hydrolysis than PA6. - Greater resistance to metallic salts than PA6
Chemical properties are summarized in the table below:
Better barrier properties agains polar liquids than PA 6 Barrier agains aromatics: styrene, toluene Barrier against gases: O2 , CO2 , pentane
RH: relative humidity
