Lotryl® Applications: Cables and Wires
|
HFFR
Halogen-Free Flame Retardant (HFFR compounds),
Also called:
Low smoke non halogen (LSNH)
Low smoke 0-halogen (LS0H)
Eco-product (In Japan)
They are all the same: Polyolefin-based compound with non-halogen flame-retardant fillers.
Thank to their high filler acceptance, Lotryl® are the right choice to develop these HFFR compound.
Good filler dispersion:
Due to its good thermal stability, Lotryl® is especially suitable when high throughput or elevated process temperature are needed.
Lotryl® can be easily cross-linked by peroxides, silanes or e-beam, when high temperatures resistance is required.
Semi Conductive
To eliminate electrical tracking and arching discharges, Cables needs:
A good thermal stability (conductor temperature can reach 90°)
A good adhesion to the conductor and insulation layer
An extremely homogenous dispersion of the carbon filler (~ 40%)
An easy processing (thin layer is required)
To be cross-linked by peroxide and extruded at low temperature
Lotryl® grades: 17 BA 04 17 BA 07 28 BA 175
Insulation Layer
To prevent electrical breakdown, it needs:
To eliminate water-treeing which results in insulation failure of the cable
To improve environmental stress cracking resistance
Lotryl® grades: 17 BA 04
