BlocBuilder® is a commercial product, available for customers who want to develop their own CRP polymers.
To facilitate archetecture design, Arkema also offers FlexiBloc® polymer: a family of low Tg polymers containing Arkema's patented nitroxide controller SG1 on the chain ends, capable of initiating free-radical polymerizations.
FlexiBloc® can be added to conventional free-radical polymerization processes and, at temperatures > 90°C, the nitroxide controller will dissociate from the chain end. Flexibloc® will then act as an initiator and can polymerize typical monomers based on Stryenics and Acrylics in-situ.
