HCFC Phaseout
|
HCFC-22 has been used for decades mostly in air-conditioning applications due to its excellent thermodynamic properties but, like all HCFCs (hydrochlorofluorocarbons), R-22 is subject to the regulations of the Montreal Protocol and its subsequent amendments. In the USA, the EPA limits the amount of newly produced R-22 available.
In Europe particularly R-22 phasing-out is planned in 2010.
A zero ODP solution for R-22 existing equipments is consequently today being looked forward in these countries. Non toxic, non flammable and zero ODP refrigerant, Forane® 427A only requires one oil draining and its replacement by a POE lubricant.
Optimal performance close to R-22 can be achieved without long and costly rinsing process of the circuit thanks to a high tolerance toward residual original oil (mineral or alkylbenzene). No modification of the installation is required.
Buying Forane® products offers you garantees and additional benefit: the support of our R&D centers formulation expertise in fluorinated products which are located in Pierre-Bénite (France) and King of Prussia (in the USA).
