Chemical Synthesis
|
Acrylic acid and light esters are largely used as chemical synthesis intermediates to produce standard and specialty monomers. Specialty reactive monomers are also precursors to manufacture other specialty acrylic monomers.
The following sections group the different acrylic monomers used in monomers chemical synthesis and their end products:
Norsocryl® AA (Acrylic Acid)
- Standard acrylic esters: Norsocryl® AM, AE, ABU, AE2H
- Multifunctional esters: TMPTA (trimethylpropane triacrylate), TPGDA (tripropyleneglycoldiacrylate)
- Oligomers with main applications in polymerisation under UV
- Hydroxyalkyl acrylates from oxides of ethylene or propylene
Norsocryl® BA (Butyl Acrylate)
Norsocryl® EA (Ethyl Acrylate)
Norsocryl® MA (Methyll Acrylate)
Norsocryl® ADAME (Dimethylaminorthyl Acrylate)
Norsocryl® AMA (Allyl Methacrylate)
- Tri–alkoxy-silyl methacrylates, efficient monomers for glass coupling
Norsocryl® 500 (Methacrylic Anhydride)
- Methacrylic monomers
- Speciality methacrylamides, avoiding the use of heavy metal catalysts
