Arkema, as a new major global coating materials player participates to Chinacoat 2011

Arkema is taking part in Chinacoat 2011 in Shanghai from November 23rd to 25th where it will showcase its new global offering for the paint and coatings market, together with its development ambitions in Asia. Arkema’s presence at this tradeshow, the largest coating tradeshow in Asia, illustrates two of the Group’s major strategic commitments: to become a specialty chemicals leader, in particular in products and solutions for the coatings markets, and to speed up its development in Asia.

Since the integration of Total’s specialty resins (Cray Valley, Cook Composites & Polymers, and Sartomer) in July 2011, Arkema has been offering one of the most comprehensive coating materials and technologies portfolios in the market.

Its recent acquisitions in the coatings sector have made Arkema a leading supplier serving paint and coating producers around the world. Its new extensive portfolio, together with its recent and future plant startups in China, help Arkema better serve specific local customer needs, and are part of the Group’s growth objectives to achieve a quarter of its sales in Asia by 2015.
