Arkema exhibits at the JEC Composites 2011 tradeshow in Paris

03/28/2011

Arkema is taking part in the JEC Composites tradeshow in Paris, Porte de Versailles, from March 29 to 31 2011 (Hall 1/Stand R57) where it will showcase its offering for nanomaterials and its extensive organic peroxide range in particular.

A world chemical player and a key leader in nanostructured materials, Arkema illustrates its ongoing commitment to these developments with two product groups:

- Graphistrength® carbon nanotubes, marketed as pre-composites for use in various thermoplastic matrices and water-soluble solid masterbatches for epoxy and aqueous solutions, and

- Nanostrength® acrylic block copolymers used to nanostructure certain polymers so as to enhance their properties.

Also on show will be Arkema's extensive range of Luperox organic peroxide crosslinking agents, together with two innovations:

- Luperfoam®, a very-easy-to-use blowing agent for unsaturated polyester foam, and

- Blocbuilder® RC50, a new inhibitor called 'reactivity controller' to thoroughly control the crosslinking of thermoset resins.

Finally, Arkema will also feature PEKK, an ultra high performance material for medical applications (bone protheses) and aerospace applications, the only polymer on the market today capable of withstanding continuous temperatures of the order of 260°C with properties comparable to those of some metals.
