Arkema welcomes Grenoble INP-Pagora students for the 3rd consecutive year

On January 26th 2010 Arkema welcomed 3rd year students from Grenoble-INP Pagora, the International School of Paper, Print Media and Biomaterials, to its Jarrie facility, in the Isère region of France.

Arkema organized this visit for the 3rd consecutive year to acquaint future engineers of the paper industry and their teachers with production plants for hydrogen peroxide, sodium chlorate and caustic soda, three essential raw materials used in pulp bleaching processes.

In the presence of the site’s General Manager, Mrs Chantal Degrendèle, as well as the various plants’ production managers, the students were briefed on health, safety and product stewardship issues.

This initiative is part of the convention signed between Arkema and Grenoble-INP Pagora with the primary aim of promoting innovation in the field of paper fibers and biomaterials. Through this initiative and its continuous support for research, Arkema confirms its commitment to the paper industry.

Grenoble INP-Pagora (International School of Paper, Print Media and Biomaterials) trains future managers for the paper manufacturing and print media sector, in partnership with a large number of manufacturers both in and outside France.
