Arkema increases its Garbeflex® DOP plasticiser price

Arkema announces a €100/ton price increase for its Garbeflex® DOP plasticiser from February 1st 2010. This price increase has become necessary following strong margins collapse these last months, resulting of successive price rises in raw materials and insufficiently passed on.

Marketed under the tradename Garbeflex© DOP, the di-2-ethyl-hexyl phtalate plasticiser is mainly used in the flexible PVC manufacturing in various applications such as cables, floorcoverings and flexible films. It is also used in medical devices such as blood bags.
