Arkema at the International Mechanical Pulp Conference in Sundsvall, Sweden

Arkema took part in the International Mechanical Pulp Conference held in Sundsvall, Sweden, on June 1-4 2009.

Hosted in rotation, every two years, by Europe and North America, this event provides an opportunity for exchanges on the current challenges faced by the pulp and paper industry, as well as discussions on the future of mechanical pulp based papers. Hot topics such as ways of reducing energy consumption, availability of wood resources, and paper quality were discussed extensively.

A technical presentation given by Arkema’s Hydrogen Peroxide BU also illustrated the Company’s commitment to the pulp and paper market, while demonstrating its ability to provide solutions to help paper mills improve their operations and reduce their costs.

Arkema uses this event to showcase and publicise its latest innovations and technical information, thereby confirming its dedicated service to many industrial sectors, including chemicals, environmental, and paper manufacturing.
